My Process
I use a mix of natural and artificial light in order to capture each space in the best light possible. When natural light is not available, I use artificial lights with modifiers to recreate the daylight scene. The best photos are produced when the client and photographer collaborate together and the space is prepared and scouted before the shoot. My camera is tethered to an Ipad or Macbook so the shots can be reviewed in real time. Some spaces require a composite of multiple shots while others can be captured in a single frame. I prefer to take my time on shots and my pricing is reflected by this as I charge per project and not by the hour. Over the years, I’ve shot for a variety of clients with different needs so while I do have a preferred style, I’m flexible in my application according to each client’s needs. Feel free to reach out with any questions about my process and what a general shoot looks like. I look forward to working together to elevate your next space!

Here is an example of a beautiful kitchen that received very problematic daylight as there were no windows nearby and the client wanted a daylight shot of the space. The cabinets were not picking up daylight, the light was flat coming from the windows behind, and the color was off throughout the scene.
We were able to salvage this shot with some directional composite lighting while maintaining color accuracy throughout the space
